Pick a recent task that took much longer than you planned. How long did you think it would take, and how long did it actually take?*
3
What is one task you consistently underestimate? What do you think it should take vs what it really takes?*
4
Before starting a task today, predict how long it will take, then time it. Write both numbers here.*
5
What external time cue (visible timer, alarms, time-blocking, a "buffer 1.5x" rule) will you try this week?*
6
What is one commitment you can protect with a "leave 15 minutes earlier than feels necessary" rule?*
Educational Guide
Time blindness is the inability to accurately perceive the passage of time or estimate how long tasks will take. This worksheet treats time as an experiment. By forcing the client to predict, measure, and record actual time spent, it builds a realistic mental model of time and helps design external scaffolding (like visual timers).
